tour 21 cities beginning April 17th in Edmonton. Tickets

to release Mylo Xyloto on October 24th
08-11-2011 - Coldplay announced their new record is finished
and will be released on October 24th. No news on a world tour
to support the record.
Coldplay set for Glastonbury and VH1 viewing
06-23-2011 - Coldplay fans received a nice surprise as it
was announced Coldplay's concert will be aired live on VH1
and Palladia from Glastonbury. The concert will start at 10
PM EST on Saturday, June 25th. This is the first time that
the Glastonbury festival has shown a live concert in its entirety.
Coldplay releases new single "Every Teardrop is a Waterfall"
06-03-2011 - Coldplay relased their newest single "Every Teardrop
is a Waterfall". The song debuted at #29 on the Billboard
Hot 100 singles. The song is streaming on Youtube. Watch it

summer festivals this year. The band is finishing up work

Anyone who has attended a concert by the band Coldplay can attest that a Coldplay
Tour is a major undertaking but it hasn't always been
that way.
The band first started their concert tours in 2000. This
was in support of their record "Parachutes" and was called
the "Parachutes Tour". The band performed in approximately
20 small venues and clubs in Europe and only lasted 1 month.
The exact dates were from October 2nd, 2000 thru October
25th, 2000.
The next Coldplay Tour was in 2001 and was titled the "Club
Tour" and visited clubs and venues in the USA and Canada.
The band had some health problems and 3 shows were cancelled.
This tour only had 10 performances from February 8th through
February 23, 2001.
In 2002, the band published "A Rush of Blood to the Head"
and started performing live to support the record. The official
Coldplay Tour was named "A Rush of Blood to the Head" covered
70 shows including five continents in the process. This
is what propelled the band to superstar status. The main

When Coldplay finished their 3rd studio album named X "&"
Y, they embarked on the "Twisted Logic Tour" on April 29,
2005. The year-long Coldplay Tour was a global affair and
massive undertaking covering 6 legs and 126 concerts. The
band grossed over 24 million dollars before ending on July
19, 2006.

In 2007, Coldplay continued touring, this time visiting Latin
America countries. The Latin America Tour visited Argentina,
Brazil, Chile, and Mexico. The mini tour ran from 2/14/07-03/04/07
and consisted of 11 concerts.
"Viva La Vida Tour"
Coldplay then went back to the studio and finished up their
4th studio album titled "Viva La Vida". The album was a huge
success and the "Viva La Vida" tour was launched on June 6th,
2008. This Coldplay Tour was their biggest undertaking consisting
of 170 shows over North America, Asia, Australia, and Europe.
It finally finished on March 11th, 2010. The setlist varied
somewhat from show to show but remained fairly consistent.

Coldplay History & Discography
Coldplay is a four member band from England who have been
compared to
U2
and Radiohead. The band consists of members Chris Martin (lead
vocals, keyboards, guitar), Will Champion (drums, backing
vocals), Johnny Buckland (lead guitar, backing vocals), and
Guy Perryman (bass guitar, backing vocals).
It was in 1996 that Chris Martin and Jonny Buckland got together
and formed the band. They met in college at the University
College London. They officially named themselves "Coldplay"
in 1998.
The band has produced four studio albums and will complete
the fifth record this fall. They are working with longtime
successful producer Brian Eno on the current record. Their
studio albums are listed below.
