Citadel, palaces, shrines in Lam Kinh were built in the axis south – north on a Vuong-shaped hill (王). Formerly, the birds carried seeds of the tree and dropped into the ground, then the banyan tree grew, embraced the Thị (Gold Apple) tree, later, the two trees merged and grew in one foot with the width of nearly dozen of people’s arms. In 2013, the tree was recognized as a heritage tree for its unique historical value by Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment.
