By motorbike:
From Ho Chi Minh city, you drive about 100 km along Highway 51 to reach Ba Ria town. From here, turning left in the direction of Highway 55 about 55 kilometers, you will reach Binh Chau ecotourism area in Bung Rieng Commune, Xuyen Moc district.
By bus:
You can go to Mien Dong (Eastern region) bus station to buy the ticket going to Xuyen Moc. The bus will stop at Xuyen Moc district’s bus station (Phuoc Buu town). From here, you can catch the bus to Binh Chau, catch a motorbike taxi or contact the shuttle service (for a fee) of your resort where you stay.
Binh Chau bus passes the fork leading to Ho Coc but doesn’t go to Ho Coc (the path from the fork to Ho Coc is about 8km). The detail of the route is as follows: Xuyen Moc district’s bus station – Ba To market traffic circle – Xuyen Moc market – Bung Rieng market – T- junction leading to Ham Tan – Binh Chau Hot Spring and vice versa.

In the sultry summer, vacationing in eco-tourism area in Binh Chau – Ho Coc will be very interesting. Binh Chau- Ho Coc tourist area located in Bung Rieng Commune, Xuyen Moc district, Ba Ria – Vung Tau, from 150 km from Ho Chi Minh City has attracted quite a large number of visitors .
Ho Coc Beach has many games such as windsurfing, water motorcycling, beach volleyball… Along the coast, there are huts, tents for tourists to rent to rest, eat and see the sight. The huts located close to the sea is about 4 square meters wide, the price of the rental is 400,000 VND for 10 seats. The huts which are farther from the beach are cheaper, only VND 300,000. This beach is famous for fresh crabs sold at prices ranging from 120,000 to 150,000 VND / kg depending on the periods in the year. The crab is boiled and served with lemon pepper salt. The crab whose size is as big as three fingers costs around VND 200,000 / kg.
After resting and eating, guests can explore the jungle, and if having time, you can climb two mountains of Tam Bo and Ho Linh. The mountain of 130m high is the place where you can see the whole view of Ho Coc with the sea and the forest and white sand stretching.
Behind Ho Coc is the Binh Chau hot springs. The streams, large and small lakes and hot water stream vaporize with temperatures from 37 degrees C to 82 degrees C. Mineral water in this mangrove forest contains silicon, nitrogen, sulfur, sodium, chlorine, … which are good for health (bathing, not drinking). Binh Chau hot spring area is an ecotourism destination for convalescence and healing.
Many items have been formed such as hot mineral water bathing area, mud bathing area… Guests can relax around Suoi Mo lake in the shadow of the ancient melaleuca trees with white flowers, watch thousands of flowers blooming in “the park in the forest.” The aroma of Melaleuca flower gives visitors a very pleasant feeling. Visitors can purchase eggs with the price of VND 40,000/ dozen, then boil eggs in hot water of 82 degrees Celsius in the air shaft area, dot with salt and pepper, it will be very interesting! Also, tourists can try the pedicure, reflexology, spa with the lowest price of 40,000 VND/ time/ person (pedicure, reflexology in 20 minutes), the highest price is 3,000,000 VND (mud bath in the VIP room).
At Binh Chau resort, leisure services, sports weekends for visitors such as golf course, volleyball, swimming pool and Trang garden with a 1,000 seat theater are available… Visitors can participate in the night hunting and sleep in the simple house in the wild, quiet space… More daringly, tourists can try an adventure into the virgin forest by foot or by wagon. The forest has many quite special trees as Melaleuca,… and as myrtle flowers, orchid …
Bang Spring, approximately 3km from Binh Chau hot spring area, is derived from a tributary of Ray River (Xuan Loc district, Dong Nai province) and runs through Binh Chau- Phuoc Buu primeval forest before emptying into the South Vietname Sea. The spring has many beautiful waterfalls with pockmarked, uneven and very big granite rocks in the stream.
After a tiring day in the forest, in the evening, visitors can dip soak up the stream and chat happily in the canopy of mangrove plants of various shapes as bonsais. Binh Chau was recognized as one of 65 ” sustainable eco-tourism areas in the world” by World Tourism Organization (WTO)
Binh Chau – Ho Coc with the beautiful pristine ecological landscape, cool fresh air, is now an attractive tourist destination, especially in the summer, in the province of Ba Ria – Vung Tau.
